As fires become an increasing threat to Californians and the surrounding environment, creative solutions within fire management are critical. Working with the scientists at Salo Sciences, Presence helped develop the California Forest Observatory, a tool to minimize the severe fires California increasingly faces.

The tool provides in-depth tracking, mapping, and monitoring of fire drivers, such as weather, canopy cover, and surface fuels, and is available for non-commercial research purposes and commercial applications. The technology uses AI and high-resolution satellite imagery to generate up-to-date information that will reduce the number and intensity of severe fires while helping firefighters predict how current fires may spread.
