This role is based in San Francisco. If you are good at what you do, apply!We will welcome you as you are.What You&#8217;ll Do (Responsibilities)<ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Implement Agent and Multi-Agent architectures leveraging the latest advances in research</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Develop metrics to compute and measure the quality of LLM-generated content.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Reproduce results from recent research papers about Agents, LLMs and AI evaluation metrics.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Evaluate the accuracy of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Optimize the generation and query of Embedding vectors.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Act as a client-facing representative, effectively communicating results and progress to stakeholders in daily meetings as well as fluidly in client&#8217;s Microsoft Teams chat.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">5+ years of experience with Python</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">3+ years of experience with SQL</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">In-depth understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and LLM evaluation metrics.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">In-depth understanding of Agent and Multi-Agent architectures</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Experience in AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Experience with NLP metrics such as BERT Score, Semantic Similarity, BLEURT, etc..</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Experience with Jupyter Notebooks.</li></ul>Additional Qualifications<ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Experience implementing LLM based Agent and Multi-Agent solutions</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Experience with deep learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Experience with pharmaceutical or healthcare data.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Experience reading and reproducing results from research papers.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Experience in the implementation and optimization of embedding databases.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Analytical approach coupled with solid communication skills and a sense of ownership.</li></ul>Our Benefits IncludeIn addition to the benefit of joining our unique and highly skilled team, you&#8217;ll enjoy competitive pay, generous time-off policy (please use it!), comprehensive insurance offerings, and more.The starting base pay for the Applied AI Engineer (Contractor) role is between $60.00 and $75.00 per hour.
